Nowadays, We Filipinos commonly used modern words or English and forgot to use our Native Language. Most of us doesn’t know the translation or the definition of the uncommonly used Filipino Words. We Filipinos should start learning and familiarize ourselves in our own language.

HERE ARE THE 10 UNCOMMONLY USED FILIPINO WORDS

UNCOMMONLY USED FILIPINO WORD: ANLUWAGE

MEANING: A worker who builds or repairs wooden structures or their structural parts.

ENGLISH: Carpenter

EXAMPLE: The carpenter brought his tools along.

UNCOMMONLY USED FILIPINO WORD: AWANGGAN

MEANING: Unlimited extent of time, space, or quantity.

ENGLISH: Infinity

EXAMPLE : I bought the Valentine’s Day card because it said “I love you to infinity and back,” which is more than forever.

MEANING: The contractile aperture in the iris of the eye.

ENGLISH: Infinity
